And I miracle I need.
I finally convinced my family (all my sibs and their families) to go camping! AND I just booked the sites! We’re going to capital reef (campground pictured) in June. Now I can only hope that the less majestic Capital can get their shit together so they can get the shit out of the park in time. I hear the parks are getting badly abused right now and this makes me uber sad.
some Capital Reef related car.

You're going deep into the wilderness with that brother and his wife that hate your guts for sabotaging their attempts to con your mother? Sounds like a good idea.

yup. Well, I paid for their site, but I haven’t heard if they are in or not. Its only $60. He and I are actually doing a lot better, I took him out to lunch last saturday and we worked out some stuff. He wants it to be over and to start the healing. she...we’ll see.

I see where this is going. She's not really a nature person. Those people, they get lost easy. There is a lot of land out there. It's hard to find someone if they just wonder off.

I just reserved my spot next to Lake Superior for a week in July, now I just have to decide if I want to bring my dogs in the suburban or leave them home and take the LX470.

Tell me, how does this booking happen? Because here in BC we have the lovely process of waiting exactly three months before your planned trip, then hammering the Discover Camping BC website at 7:00 am for the 250 sites that get booked in the first 35 seconds.
I have seen a map with 300 campsite go from green to red in one refresh..
There is actually a company who have coded a bot to monitor and find cancelled reservations in the system- for a small subscription they will monitor and get you a spot if you are flexible on your site choices.
It is a nightmare and is driving us to either; a) but an RV pad, b) pay a crap ton extra to a private campground, c) sell our trailer and do airbnb at the beach for vacations.

ooo purdy... can i come? :p
i suspect if the gubment is still shutdown by june you’ll have bigger problems than the parks being abused tho...
im sure it’ll be fine by then (or at least not shut down)

Cap Reef is still a relatively unvisited park, though the secret is somewhat out. They used to never even do reservations until last year and there is still no entrance fee into the park. Popular places like yellowstone, zion, et are as described.
